  1. Be sure your material will take the heat. Be safe! You have the same two living in you that I have. Quality is important, but so is reality and practicality.🙂🤔

  2. hahaha "pocket crochet", cool cloak! A wonderful project, now that THE SEASON OF GRATITUDE is here no doubt you all will enjoy many fires. Blessings~Joy

  3. Y’all are the sweetest family! I was cracking up the whole time. Thanks for taking us along family project day! Those are my favorite days here on our little farm❤

  4. What a cozy night, I love it. I can just hear the crackling and smell the rich, earthy aroma of the oak fire. ❤

  5. So fun having a firepit. I have to say i have never used metal coat hanger. We used to widdle a stick.

  6. Nothing like a good burnt marshmallow. LoL when we lived off grid I sent the day and night to sit at our fire pit on Christmas burning cedar . It was so amazing and I miss it so much.

  7. So I have a fire pit on my back, screened in porch. Very small little gas powered fire pit. And I stapled heavy duty plastic all over the screens to make it a little more wind proof so i can sit out there. And yes! I have roasted my share of marshmallows on my little fire pit along with maybe a few graham crackers and Hershey bars to make some pretty fire s’mores! We all need to be a kid every once in a while.

  8. Nice looking fire pit! I have roasted marshmallows with an iron hanger for over 70 years. It works great until o catch the marshmallow on fire and it slides off into the fire. Enjoy making memories around your new fire pit.❤️✝️🙏

  9. Wire hangers a re actually hard to come by now, especially the heavy-duty ones that could break into a l locked vehicle! I've saved 2 just in case🤪

  10. While it was very entertaining to watch you figure out how many blocks you needed, I was thinking you could have used the intersecting lines in the cement to help. Lay out enough blocks to form a quarter circle large enough for 2 people to "sit" in front of. Multiply by 4 and you have a fire pit for 8 chairs. It really helps me to actually see, walk around things.

  11. Beautiful fire pit. I am a golden perfection type too. The war between quality and cost saving is real. I try to remember the boots theory of economics… then find a sale.

  12. My in laws surprised us with an early Christmas present this year ❤️ it was a giant fire pit!

  13. That turned out great. But then again, you had Ben's hammer of cooperation, lol! He is a hilarious kid.

  14. 😅😅 good point on the size of the pit. I might even do this myself!!❤ 1 dad, and a few stones.
Boy it's been a long while since you popped up. Asher is at least 5 years older! I think you hadn't moved to SC yet!😮😊

  15. 😂I love pocket crochet! And pocket knitting or sewing! I made myself the Pocket Skirt from Peppermint Magazine, it has HUGE structured pockets and I love it! I wear it 3-6 days a week and I ordered linen to make a second, so I guess you could say I would heartily reccomend it!😂 Pockets are amazing especially when large and sturdy!

  16. Heh, I lived in the 8 woman suite, in our dormitory on our floor. We lived next door to the 8 men suite. One of the guys in that suite would wear his robe down to breakfast, daily! No one gave him any issues, heh, it was just what he did! 🙂 Love the cloak and the cooperation hammer, hee! <3

  17. I believe those chairs are the same as mine, redwood. Mine are probably 15 yrs old. Only thing is seal with a good deck oil and double nut the arms to the body as they come loose. Washers at wood surfaces. ❤🎉

  18. Hello. Have you tried C2C for a scarf stitch? In crochet I find it most useful for a cozy scarf or shawl, and you can make it as small or big as you like. Just a tip from a long timer crocheter.

  19. Cloaks are so underrated!! I wore one in High School (30 years ago) and said why in the world did fashion leave this idea?! Nothing keeps you warmer than a cloak!

  20. LOVE THE FIREPIT. I LIKE MINE BURNT. I PULL THAT LAYER OFF AND GO AGAIN. HERE IN FLORIDA, WHEN YOU HAVE SMOKE, IT HELPS TO KEEP THE MAQUITOES AWAY. ENJOY THE FAMILY MOMENTS, THEY GO SO VERY FAST. WE WOULD CUT Palmetto fans AND USE THE STICK PART sharpened for OUR ROSTING.

  21. Just as a side note, seeing you let the grey come in, you ma'am are aging in an absolutely stunning manner. Sweet Miah is a lucky man. <3 Also I see the hoodie, and 49ers baby!!! LOL

  22. God Bless you all! There is no more wholesome American family than you! I SO enjoyed this! Thank you❤❤❤

  23. Also it is truly not fair how friggin cute Ben is. Honestly. Share some with the rest of us lil dude.

  24. My guess before I see it finished, you need 15 per layer. Betting myself. 😂😂😂. C=2πr the divide by 12 inches equals the number of bricks per layer.

  25. Now I want roasted marshmallows! So nice to see you all around the fire! Asker is not wrong, cloaks are underrated, my elven friends adore them. 💕
