I’ve had him for about 13 years. I’m so sad, can someone tell me how to save him. He’s never had a problem with his environment before. But my neighbor built a white fence right outside his window. Could it be the lighting in from the fence???

Remove all of the dried leaves make sure that the stem is hardy and firm and that it is not black and squishy. Find a good spot with clean knife cut it let it callous for a couple days and then plan it in some dirt and give it time to grow new roots.
It’s still alive! Take all the dead stuff off and cut the stem where it’s healthy and leave to callus then plant in new soil. They are pretty resilient plants.
If the light level is lower, it’ll use less water and be way more sensitive to overwatering.
When you repot use soil that is 50% inorganic 🙂 if you’re struggling with this, use 50% soil and 50% perlite.
It got sunburned, perhaps the reflection of the white fence, apart from cleaning the dead leaves and insulating it until it becomes green again, I don’t see any other solutions
How many times have you repotted it in those 13 years?
It’s probably just overdue a new home and is struggling because of it (old soil causes watering, nutrient and even root issues)
