I have a stalk of a ZZ plant which I propagated for like half a year in a glass of water before it started developing some rhizomes and roots. It has now been planted for about a year or so. However, today I noticed the yellowing of the leaves and also that the stalk is extremely squishy. Probably rotten through and through. Thought I had the watering nailed but apparently not (sat stood in a window). I assume it cannot be saved.

But the rhizomes and roots still look healthy, don't they? The rhizomes are very firm and hard. Can I just… plant them in new soil or something? Feels like a waste to let them go.
