Moisturizer. You get it in 5 gallon buckets.

This is helped by aeration and top dressing with compost. Helps retain moisture if your soil is compacted/clay.

  3. Besides the obvious answers of water or removing the lawn, you can also do things to change how well it retains water. For example, I have a heavy clover component to my lawn, and in my area that makes it wetter. Plus the clover is a brighter green than the grass.

Resist cutting the grass too short. Longer grass shades the soil, keeping it cooler, and creates a microclimate that reduces evaporation

Water, but not in the middle of the day. The sun will steamcook it. Early morning or evening is best so it has a chance to soak in.

I have a clover lawn instead of grass. It is always green all year long, and mows just like grass. No watering needed.

can’t tell from looking at it, but you may have really thick Thatch. It will be really spongy with old grass underneath which creates a dense map and makes it hard for the grass to stay green.

You can rent a machine that power rakes the thatch out. Then you sound aerated to loosen up the soil. Top dress with sand to level it and fill those holes, fertiliser and water.

Make sure your mower blade is sharp, so it doesn’t tear the top of the grass which leads to faster yellowing.

When you do water it sound be early in the day and for an hour so it’s deep which encourages the roots to go deeper making much healthier grass.

Don’t cut it too short. 2 inches plus is good.

    Good luck

Add drought tolerant plants instead of grass.
    Add some trees.
    Let the grass grow longer.
    Good luck.

Water. One could water it with municipal water sources, haul in water on a truck or conduct a rain dance and pray.

Just spitballing here, but maybe get a hose and a sprinkler?

Try some Brawndo, it has electrolytes. It’s what plants crave.

Call your local university agricultural extension office. They run master gardener programs and have a hotline answered by people who actually know what they are talking about and aren’t just trying to sell you stuff.
