Yes, these are mealy bugs. Use some neem oil, rubbing alcohol or soapy water.

Look like mealy bugs ugh I’m sorry. They can be managed but hard to ‘cure’. I use an alcohol based spray (rubbing alcohol, couple drops dish soap and water) to kill them and as maintenance. Can also use neem oil based stuff. You can dip a gauze round into the alcohol solution to wipe the plant where there are visible bugs. If you chat gpt it or google it, you can get recipes for the bug sprays. A lot of my plants have infestations that I’m not sure where they got them but it’s a battle.

If I see that on my plans, I will inspect to find all the little white spots, dip a Q-tip in rubbing alcohol and kill them all by touching them with the Q-tip. You can also spray the whole plant with plant sprays, but I find this easier if there’s just a few of them.

I do the q-tip thing too. Incredibly frustrating and you have to be vigilant. They sneak into every nook and cranny. Definitely try to keep them at bay before it gets worse! Good luck!

This is helpful, thank you!
I believe they’re coming from the dirt in this indoor trough (goes down to the earth) – I moved the FLF over to this area last week. I have no plans to use this dirt for anything so should I douse it in hydrogen peroxide? Is there a chance they’ve already set up camp in the FLF pot?

Oof. My friend you have a parasite. Wipe front and back of leaf with LARGE alcohol wipes. Also wipe off the stem where it’s smooth.
