A bunch of pomegranate arils were starting to go bad in the fridge, so instead of throwing them into compost bin, just stuck em in some soil. The whole spring was met with dozens of pomegranate sprouts. It was awesome and also slightly overwhelming

One of the pots had another plant in there, so when I noticed whatever this is was flowering, decided to give it a pot for its own

Since then, no other pomegranates have flowered. I even have one that got about a foot tall and started shooting vines out everywhere. But no flowers.

That’s when I realized this specimen I put into a pot may not even be a pomegranate sprout to begin with. Help

The 2nd plant I can confirm is 💯 a weed. I cared for one for awhile lol that sucker will spread seeds everywhere, get rid of it for sure lol. I’m sorry, not sure about the others

Its only a weed if it’s undesirable!

Location is generally helpful but it looks like *Stellaria aquatica* (water chickweed) or a similar species.

Pomegranates usually don’t flower until they’re two or three years old. They also need a lot of sun and do best in zones 8-10. Some varieties can survive in zone 7.
