just go this tree will it survive the winter out doors (look at description)
it's a pinus mungo and I live in south west england (Taunton) the lowest it can get is -5 Celsius and I have a shelter I can put it on but it will get plenty of sunlight during the day
Mugo pine is absolutely fine outdoors over winter đ

Looks very healthy. It should survive. You can always stack some mulch around the pot to keep the roots warm is you have cold winter temps.
Snake973
yeah it’ll be fine, mugos live naturally up in the frozen alps and carpathians, etc

I’d be more worried about conifers not getting enough cold during the winter in the south of England.
Had a spruce fully defoliate once due to an exceedingly warm winter. Luckily the tree recovered and is looking okay now a few years on.

Iâm in Canada almost right at the 49th parallel. We get -20 and lower some winters and my Mugo has no issues as long as I protect it from the winds that we get.

Yes

Even if it is a mugo pine you need to protect the roots somehow. In a tiny pot like that without insulation it could definitely still die if it gets cold enough.
