Has anyone bought this no-name moss found on Amazon/Ebay/Etsy? How shitty is it? Asking for a friend…

I bought four of the top left one a couple weeks ago. Was pleasantly surprised at the quality. I put the pieces in a bin with a lid and sprayed them down to rehydrate then closed the bin and left them overnight before adding them to my terrarium. All of the pieces are still green/alive so far.

Is it temperate or tropical moss? I’m having a hard time finding tropical live moss

No moss in the world is reviving in 5 minutes. Fluffing back up from a compressed form, maybe, but not actually reviving, so that’s a lie on the package right off. Not a good sign.

i bought some last month for my jumping spider terrarium and its pretty good. i definitely soaked it more than 5 mins but it retains moisture well and is still green weeks later with just daily misting

  5. I got the one on the bottom left and it seams very good. It came with 3 different types in 3 inch by 6 inch pieces. It rehydrated and came back to looking like good moss right away. I’ll probably order more

Yup! Three times, each time the moss came out near perfect after rehydrating

I ordered from them twice, got my second order today. I haven’t had any serious problems but there is a lack of diversity though. I’ve gotten the same moss both times even though it’s supposed to be different in both the see through bags. So all 4 packs were the same “plum”

The moss was growing well after about 2 weeks but my nephew came over and drowned it in candy and juice because he thought the grass was hungry, I’m starting over.
