I use 6-8 gallon every time I water. Many aroids on tall moss poles. Before I start saving up, does this system really work? I bumped into a person watering plants in an office using this system. Can it reach up to 8 feet and still provide water pressure? The website says it uses facet water pressure to “charge” the tank. I use a rainwater tank/hose setup with little water pressure. Seems like magic. But if it works it could save me hours each week = better care for my plants.

I’ve worked in offices where they use these, but don’t own one. Looks interesting. What’s the idea with the white plastic bin on top? A place to do bottom watering for plants that prefer it? Can you send the excess back to the tank when done?

It works by having a pressurized bladder inside, forcing the water out.

But you need enough water pressure to force water back in (pushing against the bladder).

Since you don’t have water pressure, no this won’t work.

If I were you, I would look at a gravity feed drip feed, to provide a baseline water amount, and then your manual watering would be cut substantially.

Or presumably some kind of air compressor + tank solution exists somewhere, but that might not save much labour in the end.

I mentioned pump + garden hose, but depending how far you need to reach: I use vinyl hose + airgun plumbed to my tap (after water filter).

It’s much less durable than a garden hose, but it’s very low profile and at household pressure (which TBF is quite high) there’s far more flow than I need in a 1/8 ID vinyl hose.

I’ve been pretty depressed with the work load of watering. But you all have had some great ideas! I am feeling inspired. Thank you 💚

I use similar devices for work and honestly its only worth it if you are watering a decent number of plants in a office or retail environment, if its just around your house there are definitely better options than lugging around a fancy bulky bucket with wheels
