Could be rosemary, but hard to tell with a vague photo and no location info.

Drink some water! It looks like rosemary, which is very fragrant. I haven’t ever heard of that effect, but perhaps you’re unusually sensitive. Could just be that you’ve been working in the sun too long.

    Looks like rosemary to me

Rosemary… I know that ingesting large amounts can cause issues like tummy troubles and lowering blood pressure but I guess inhaling the volatile oils whilst trimming could have an effect of some sort possibly..

It looks like rosemary, it does have quite a strong vapour to it when you cut into it, you might be a bit sensitive to it, just step away from it for a bit and go back to finish the job later maybe even a day or two later, I end up with a streaming nose and eyes when I do mine and lavender also has the same effect

Get some water and electrolytes into you!

Also make sure you wash your hands after, and maybe change your clothes and take a shower this will clean any possible residue away

Creeping rosemary. There’s nothing toxic about it (in fact edible) but exposure to a large amount of essential oils can be overwhelming! Get some fresh air, take a break, wear gloves and mask if need be. Also, crouching down gardening and then standing up can affect blood pressure and make you woozy, especially if you have undiagnosed POTS

Rosemary contains rosmarinic acid, which acts as a GABA positive allosteric modulator. It makes GABA receptors more sensitive, which can cause a sedating and even mildly intoxicating effect if you’re sensitive to it. Just drink some coffee if you are worried about falling asleep.

I’m just extrapolating from the rest of these comments, I don’t really know for sure what that plant is

It’s a Rosemary. Use a micro fiber rag on your uncovered areas to wipe off any itchy areas. . If it is heavy in oil you may have just gotten a head full of its fragrance . It’s a plant that you can have direct contact with without dilution but if you skin is sensitive it may have not gotten the memo.
