Looks like a type of passionflower, likely *Passiflora lutea* (yellow passionflower) or *Passiflora suberosa* (corkystem passionflower).

I don’t know but it looks yummy (don’t eat it though!)

It’s not blueberries.

All I know is I’d be dead if it was poisonous.

It looks similar to what we call Devil’s shoestring in NE Florida, but the leaves aren’t the same. If it’s got little thorns and is almost impossible to pull up, break or cut, then it’s in that family.

What do you folks suppose are the odds that the previous owner planted this on purpose?

if it was growing on ur lemon tree, its a lemon trust me bro

My mind went to smilax but no thorns and super juicy looking fruit. Passiflora might be your culprit here. That’s a nice hitchhiker.

It has a moonseed look about it. Especially the way the petiole attaches to the leaf. I’m unfamiliar with Mexican native plants but it’s possible

Not an Oregon grape either 😊

Oregon Grape is the official flower of Oregon (born there). Leaves are a lot like a Holly leaf, these are not. 😊
