I'm very lost on what to do with my plants. they get edema everytime I water them. they're both in very chunky soil and they're not in pots that're too big for their roots either. I water it when the soil is barely damp.
I was told the enemy is watering frequency and not the amount of water. they also have guttation for a few days after being watered. I'm scared to even give it a little water, let alone saturate the soil.
any guidance is appreciated 😭

I think you are OK. But maybe back off on the watering. I would like to hear about what the people say about maybe letting them go dry before watering. I am kind of questioning myself watering pots as they have algae.
I let my thin leaf Alos (Odora, pink dragon, frydek and so on) get 3/4th of the way dry. Basically if my moisture meter is reading dry until the last couple inches of soil, I will fully saturate with water. I find if I leave it too late I will always get edema, and again if I water too frequently. To reduce the edema that’s affecting the leaves now, increase airflow with a fan.
