We all have an experiment that has no right being in a bonsai pot. Mine is this Pandorea yamadori, first wiring 2yrs after being ripped up.
It's hard to see the structure but I'm really just aiming for some general shape and slight curves at this point. Just starting to flower now.

Heres a Ficus pumila (creeping fig) that i rescued when my mom pulled a hedge out of her garden. They are super slow to thicken up (this is about 15 years old) and i dont think it will amount to much but i figured a creeping fig like this doesnt come along often
This is interesting.. If this was mine I would wire the branching & bend it back towards the centre of the pot to balance it. You could have a lovely Wind Swept Style.

Im currently experimenting with a River Red Gum. This was grown from Seed. It’s only 1.5 years old the trunk chop was completed 6 months ago as it’s an extremely fast growing tree. Photos deceiving the base is almost as thick as my fist & the Trunk is 20 cm tall & round as a 20c piece. Just trying to thicken up the Structural Branches before choose the best front & what branches I’m going to keep. It’s will start to take shape once I start wiring the lower branches & pulling them down. It’s got some really good surface roots that should do well partially exposed as it gets older.
Crazy cool
