A friend gave me a propagated neon pothos a few weeks ago and now I’m in the early stages of addiction. This is another friend’s plant, and I’ve never actually made my own cutting before. Can I cut some of the more bare vines on the left, and prop the nodes where the leaf has already fallen off, or does that mean it’s dead? Or should I be cutting from the leafier side on the right? Thanks! 😊

Ask the friend to cut one for you, then work with whatever you get. Buy some rooting hormone

Choose a healthy vine inbetween two nodes with about 4-5 leaves. Remove the bottom 2-3 and put it in water or soil.

This is a plant called Devil’s Backbone, I haven’t heard of a neon pothos, but I have the same plant as you. Any piece should be fine to propagate. Just make sure whatever piece you choose, the leaves are the green and white. My plant went through a phase where it had too much sunlight and grew stems that are thick and solid green leaves, so something like that you wouldn’t want to propagate.
