Planted some Jonathan Green Sunny seeds a month ago and they are coming in lush. But the surrounding grass is much thicker

Just a season. But also, if it looks the same depends on if the rest of it is also the same exact grass or something else.

I would have overseeded some of the existing turf for blending purposes but it will look fine in the spring. Best of luck!

Keep mowing it! By next fall it should be as thick if not thicker than existing turf. But tbh your existing turf doesnt look thicker just the individual grasses are bigger and longer. Your new grass will look a lot thicker than existing turf with some time IMO

Also agree you probably should’ve overseeded the whole yard for blending purposes. That Jonathan Green grass patch is sticking out a good bit.

Is that where Michael Myers landed after Dr Loomis shot him off the balcony?

I’d say by May next spring. It just needs a season to look great.
