As this tree grows will leaves fill back in on bottom ? It use to be full . Planted 3 years ago. I did have to dig down to expose root flare so not sure if that stressed it and that’s why not much leaves on bottom but when it was planted initially it was more full . Also should I prune? I’m not like the shape of it

The bottom branches naturally die off as the tree grows, they’re like baby teeth. Either animals like deer eat them off or the tree kills them off itself when they’re no longer needed, all entirely normal. On the rare occasion the lowest branches do remain it actually can cause them major structural issues later in life, something that a lot of lab bred species are unfortunately starting to run into now. And most of the branches you currently see are not likely to be permanent either, replaced by larger branches higher up as it grows
