Why are the leaves curling. Is this a light problem? It's my first grow so any pointers will be grateful.

Yeah I would turn the light down a little or back it off a little more

First off use white light to take pictures…much easier to see. If your talking about the leaves pointing upward, that’s fine.

1st sets of leaves generally can be a bit warped.

You’re fine bud. Next set of leaves should be normal.

Almost looks to me like you have some mold, mildew, or fungus growing in that top layer of substrate.
    That’s not good

They are ā€œlearningā€ how to be successful. You’re fine it’s fine. It should just correct itself with new growth but if it’s still happening then you should pull your light up a little. Couple of inches. Download the app called photone and measure the PAR you’re putting on the little fella. Should be like 200-250ish . Then, ramp it up as she gets fluffy.

I’m not seeing anything wrong with! When I first started ,my leafs where curling and not growing all the way , it could just be the genetics fr cs now mine is perfectly fine and growing into a beauty
