Saw this tree at the Arboretum in Seattle, but it didn’t have an ID placard. It was broad leaved, but had pinecone structures that were growing all over it. The bark was very eucalyptus-like. I’m really stumped on this one.

    Those cones are DEFINITELY douglas fir. But it doesn’t belong to those leaves or bark. The leaves/bark might be a pacific madrone

    *Lagerstroemia indica* (crape myrtle) with *Pseudotsuga menziesii* (Douglas fir) cone that fell on it.
