Hi friends. I'm embarrassed to be here under these circumstances. I've treated this boy poorly for too long 😭. I've had him for several years (ya, years).
I don't remember where I got him and I don't know what kind he is 🫣 He wouldn't grow for me for the longest time and I had all but given up hope.

This summer I put him outside on the porch in the humid sweltering heat of North Carolina. Anddddd he took off! But then the slugs started to munch on him 😭. They didn't slow him down though.

I just brought him back in for winter. I have him quarantined because I wasn't sure of the brown spots. I'm thinking sunburn because it's isolated to the white parts and happened recently when I moved him out onto a step.

So now what? He's been through it and I'd like to do right by him. I'm more plant savvy than I was when we met but I still have a lot to learn.

Should I remove the damaged leaves? Is he ready for a bigger pot? I have aroid soil so I'll get that part right. He has some nice aerial roots! Should I get him a moss pole? Or try to stick them back in the pot? And exactly how much light does he want? When he was inside I had him about 3 feet away from a big south facing window. I thought that was enough but now I'm not so sure.
