Hey everybody, my monstera was sadly burnt by a mobile infrared heater 😞 the leaf doesn’t look okay – should I cut it off to help the plant? And if so, at the leaf, or the stem? (Red or blue line, pic2)

While we’re at it.. the plant suffered from thrips, but seems to be fine now. Should I also cut the leaf, that turned yellow during the infestation?

Thank you for your help!

Watering every week, currently at the back of the room, to separate it from the other plants because of thrips, so not much light.

Is that your most recent leaf? If so I wouldn’t cut near the main stem, I would cut the petiole close to the actual leaf because the next leaf will be coming out of the petiole sheath (it protects the baby leaf until it’s ready to be out in the world) tldr don’t cut at either line, cut a couple inches or so below the burn damage. Btw adult thrips fly so having one plant several feet away from your others may not be effective, and could stress the plant if it’s not getting enough light+too much water (watering at the same frequency when the plant is not getting the same light) a stressed plant is more likely to get sick/pests
