A County Roscommon garden centre has been forced to temporarily suspend its home deliveries as a result of the sudden closure of a courier service.
Ardcarne Garden Centre, located between Boyle and Carrick-on-Shannon, said that the “abrupt nature of the closure of Fastway couriers” had led to the temporary suspension of home deliveries for most products until a new courier service had been sourced.
The popular garden centre added that its order for Click ‘n’ Collect was still available and that it was still issuing digital gift cards, as well as gift cards by post and seeds, which are handled by An Post.
“We are currently looking to engage a new courier and hope to have this matter resolved a soon as possible, at which point we will provide a further update.
“For those who have placed an order for delivery already, we will be contacting you shortly, if we haven’t already, to arrange alternative options or a refund.
“We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused,” concluded the statement.
