  1. About twenty years ago I found a garlic plant growing up in some weeds. I didn't plant it and my neighbor is a half a mile away. I saved it till fall and planted it, and from that one bulb I now plant over 150 cloves every year.

  2. I have grown Chinese 5 color ornamental peppers in the past, they are good and absolutely beautiful.

  3. LUKE, I want to put up a raised bed in my backyard. Any suggestions whether a wood or metal raised bed would be better than the other?

  4. I don't save my tomato seeds, which are all heirlooms. I leave the damaged tomatoes in my garden, and they seed themselves. New varieties, I buy from MI Gardener and start from seed. I have had great success with their seeds. Better than seeds from stores.

  5. Put your beans in a pillowcase and smack the daylights out of them on the ground. Then you Winnow the two sections apart.

  6. I just saved bean seeds today. Next year should be interesting as I realized I had two kinds of beans. The deer "trimed" my bean plants this year, so I didn't see the two different kinds! It will an adventure.

  7. Wait….wait…wait….a sweet pea? Are there more edible warnings like this? Like dont eat too many if any green goose berries (kids especially). Or you can eat all of a broccoli plant except for the poisonous root zone?
I'd like to see an episode on a list of these warnings. Also ya might save some people in the process. Could make a good series of shorts too. Just a thought. I'd like to see it.

  8. I saw someone put all of their dry beans in pillow cases and had their kids whack them against the ground a few times and it easily removed the seeds from the pods. Kids had a blast and parents saved a ton of time!
