I just came home to my pothos and noticed a couple of ants trailing to it. I lifted the pot to find hundreds of ants underneath it! Am I doing something wrong? Are pothos known to attract ants? I've only had this plant for about 2 weeks and it's my first ever plant.

ants are attracted to sweet stuff, it’s not ur plant but either pests secreting honeydew or if u use a sugar based or organic fertilizer. but they could also just be building colonies in the pot especially if the soil is dry on top and moist on the bottom.
You live in Portland don’t you?
is it raining where you are? ants come inside during bad weather looking to have a sip. if there’s extra water around your plant, that could be why.
