    Looks like red leaf lettuce, not positive though

    A variety of lettuce. It might be wild in your area! I have a bunch here in kansas in my yard

    The leaves look firmer than lettuce and it looks like radicchio to me. Wait to see what it does and let us know?

    It has little hairs on the bottom which is keeping me from eating it!

    variety of radicchio perhaps, if it is bitter to the taste it is likely

    if you look closely you can see the leaf stem is pubescent or hairy, lettuces generally do not exhibit hairs, but radicchio does
