I live in NE FL (zone 9b) where average highs during winter are in the 60s and lows are in the 50s, but we do have occasional cold nights in the 40s. I have many tropical plants (mostly ficus) that are supposedly only hardy down to 60F, but I leave them outdoors year-round and they do just fine because they’re acclimated. I only bring them in if we’re having a night in the low 40s. Will this plan work for my musa Florida? What about neon pothos and various monsteras on moss poles…?

Might be a pain but you could bring it in at night if it’s not too heavy. If not just watch the weather and let it stay outside. It may die back a bit but it will come back and be hardy to the weather once it’s acclimated.

As long as it’s doesn’t hit actual freezing temps, everything will survive.

It’s a hassle and because it doesn’t get below 50° for the most part, I’d say get a heat mat for seedlings and set it up underneath your plants that are living outside. That way the substrate won’t get freezing and you don’t have to bring them in?
Or maybe finagle a DIY greenhouse?
I think there’s tiny versions that are basically like glass boxes that open for plants to be placed inside

The epipremnum “pothos” should be okay. But musa doesn’t like below 50. And zone 9 does get below freezing. I would make arrangements to bring to bring in the banana.

I don’t have an advice, just compliments. That first plant is SO COOL!!!! It’s beautiful!!! Thanks for sharing, I added it to my want list! I hope someone can give you advice, I’m just here to gawk 😍🪴🤩

Can you get a wheeled plant stand? It will be safest to bring it in on the cold nights. I think it will probably survive your temperatures unless you get a freeze, but the coldest nights might cause some foliage to die back.
