I don't know why, I have tried caring for many different houseplants throughout the years. But they always die?? The only plants that don't are orchids.
At my parent's house, there are orchids I have been taking care of since I was like 10. They are still alive and have grown an enormous amount 9 years later.
So does anyone know why?? Do orchids just like me? I heard they are kind of hard to care for, but all I do is water them once a week, nothing else. And they have all been completely fine.
😭 I love orchids but I want to have other plants too. I live in the UK if that helps.

I love orchids but they are very expensive 🙁
It likely has to do with watering once a week. Orchids in your environment just like that frequency. One a week is too often for a lot of plants unless in a soil mix that dries quickly.
Overwatering is the #1 plant killer.
I can’t for the life of me get an orchid to survive, but my other plants will thrive.
