You sort of did accidentally grow quinoa. It is some type of goosefoot or lamb’s quarters, so it is botanically related to quinoa. Lambs quarters was [cultivated as a grain crop by indigenous Americans](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chenopodium_berlandieri) Quinoa is basically a high altitude cultivar.
I’ve never once thought about what quinoa looks like before it’s on the shelves… of course it’s from a plant, but good lord what a shocking realization to suddenly have…

I’ve never tried to cultivate Lambs Quarters but it grows all over like a weed. I love to munch on the tender leaves.
