This is a ~120ft Bitternut (or maybe hybrid) hickory tree that sits at the back of our property here in the Great Lakes area. It is on the edge of a railroad track that was cleared in 1888, and could be 150'ish years old. It has had a good year dropping nuts, and an even better year for fall color. It started turning color later than many area hickories, and is nearly a neon yellow now.
