Also, what to do with the original leaves (red circle)….if anything. Suggestions on a how to keep her thriving and producing leaves would be welcome! Thank you

substrate looks wayyy too dense. if that stem is from the most recent leaf, leave it. new leaves come from a petiole sheath on this type of plant.
