Chez antoinette reopens in covent garden: a love story of french cuisine and design

This November, part of Covent Garden will welcome back Chez Antoinette, a well known French bistro with a pleasant atmosphere and the traditional French kitchen. After elegant renovations and enlargements, the family operated restaurant, which will ontinuously be co-owned with Aurélia and Jean-Baptiste Noël-Delclos, will be opening on the 10th of November.

Ever since it opened back in 2014, Chez Antoinette has been adored by the locals. It is not only a place to eat, but it also provides a welcoming atmosphere. Now, after the renovations, it is certain that the restaurant will be able to offer even more, while still retaining its traditional charm.

An Elegant Redesign with French Flair

The restaurant’s redesign blends the laid-back charm of a Lyonnais café with the sophistication of a Parisian townhouse. The new interior features soft fabrics, antique mirrors, and brass accents, providing an elegant yet cozy environment for diners. A key addition is the open kitchen and pâtisserie counter, allowing guests to witness the culinary magic firsthand. The new layout also includes an expanded dining room and terrace seating overlooking the Market Piazza, offering a perfect spot for al fresco dining. The atmosphere has been carefully crafted to reflect a sense of art de vivre, or the art of living, which is at the heart of French culture.

A Heartfelt Return to French Tradition

Chez Antoinette’s reopening brings a renewed focus on traditional French cooking, paying homage to the recipes passed down by Aurélia’s grandmother, Antoinette. The menu features beloved French classics, including boeuf bourguignon, onion soup, escargots, foie gras, and terrine. Each dish is designed to evoke the flavors and memories of home-style French cooking, with an emphasis on quality, authenticity, and the emotional connection behind the food. Aurélia’s passion for French cuisine shines through in every dish, ensuring that diners experience not just a meal, but a personal connection to the culture and history of France.
