My Treefolks cedar elms were finally delivered, unfortunately they were delivered while my family was on vacation and basically went uncared for for 5 days (this was prior to this week’s rain). I came back to this and dead leaves. Two questions:

1) what is this (in first picture)?
2) still worth planting?

Would really hate to have wasted a couple good saplings cause of bad timing 🤞🏽

    1. Those are “corked wings” and are natural on very young Cedar Elms.

    2. Yes its probably fine. Just water it and plant it.

    Cedar Elms are hardy af. Plant it in the ground and itll be fine
