Just add some water to it… or I’d personally put it into another medium.

Whenever you want! I’d say whenever it has established roots, preferably about an inch, it’s good to put in soil. A lot of people keep them in water forever and the pothos can grow pretty long. Definitely change out that water though, at least once a week. I get away with rinsing it in between water changes but try to clean it with soap once a month. Also make sure to not leave any soap residue as that could damage the roots. If the option exists for you, try to transfer to an amber container and make sure the leaves don’t touch the water long term. The amber container helps to protect against sunlight which I have personally found to make my container grow algae more and generally mess with my plant, but clear glass is totally fine as long as you keep an eye on that water.
Edit: not sure if algae is the right term, I’m referring to the slimey gunk that forms inside the container.

I’m going to get Prop Drops for my water propagations soon! I’ve heard it’s really helpful for giving additional nutrients during the process. My Chinese Money Plant sprouted new roots almost overnight (more like 3-5 days) but my pothos is slow going.

I plant them

When the roots have roots

This looks like a reasonable amount of roots. You can plant it now or put fresh water in the jar and keep it this way for a long time.

I’ve heard to pot up your pothos when your roots have roots. You can go semi-hydroponic with LECA. LECA balls hold moisture so roots don’t have to be submerged in water. You only need your vessel to be 1/3 full of water. You feed your plant with a hydroponic fertilizer. I bought a general purpose one. I use it every time I water. I rarely change the water or rinse the vessel out. I have air plane and monstera plants growing in LECA.

I’m impatient, so I just go ahead and plant when the roots are about 3 in long or so. But I’ve heard it’s better to wait for the roots to start growing secondary roots

Replace the water every week..couple of drops of hydrogen peroxide and there is an osmocote water fertiliser too

I personally think this amount of growth sucks for one month. Use a different medium for propagations.
Change the water about once a week and it can probably stay in water if you want. If you are going to put it in soil, it should be ready to go.
