Been reading about these after adding these dudes to my family. They are currently in a 2.5” plastic pot from the nursery. I will move them to terracotta pot with cactus/perlite soil (it’s what i own, do i need something else?). I was told they like to be snug, or is this too snug and should space them out? Also not to water when they are splitting for the new leaves. But only one is, how to possibly water the other ones and not mess up the splitting one?

I would say you’ll want to give them some space. Definitely recommend repotting, several separate ones. Maybe 1-2 at most in a single pot, but if you get a larger pot this arrangement is still fine. They just need space to have their growth cycles be possible. Their tops expand outward to allow for splitting. They’ll need space for that

Up to you. I found it easier to separate them or plant them quite a bit apart in case you only have to water one of them.
My long term plan is to note when some of them are blooming and when splitting so I can put the ones on the same schedule together. It also gives me something to do 🤣🤣
Beautiful lithops btw, I truly love the blue-ish gray ones

You’ll want to use 80+% perlite if those are your only ingredients – that’s how inorganic the mix should be. I would separate them for sure. The one that’s splitting should probably have it’s own pot to keep from watering it. Depending on what the others do, you may need to rearrange them again to adjust for their cycles.
