The tops will freeze in the winter but they will come back from the ground in the spring

They like a sunny location and a good drink during the hottest days of the year. You may want to reduce the number in that bed because they multiple and fill the area in a season or two. Mulch them well over the winter.

They like full sun, so mine are short like yours after such a rainy summer. They’ll die back in the winter but come back and multiply in the spring.

I brought some from North Texas when I moved and they did okay for a year or two. They liked more water than I could keep up with to make up for the arid Central Texas climate. (I don’t have an automated sprinkler system.)

I’ve had them for years in full sun and they do great. They do die down to the ground every winter.

Pack em close together, can pretty much take them out of the pot then place them in the bed so they are touching. You could easily have 2x the number of plants in that bed as what you are showing in the picture. Mine get watered (on a bubbler) twice a week and are in full sun.
Here are mine! I have them both in ground and in planter beds and they grow phenomenally in my clay soil. They love lots of sun and water. They have shallow roots so they’re easy to move new shoots to other parts of the yard. Lots of mulch. I watered mine every 2-3 days consistently so having a watering schedule is key. They do die during the winter but shoots back up in spring. I love the tropical look of them and they are insanely fast growers!
