  1. Is the whitish powdery stuff on the skin of the 16 pound squash typical or is it residue from air pollution from weather modification spraying I wonder?

  2. Suggestion… tie up your hair before working in the garden I’m worried about a bug jumping into your long hair to hitch a ride.

  3. Dear Kaye, I was worried about your gloveless hands reaching into the unknown. Please take care and God Bless you and your cats 🐈🍂🐈‍⬛🌱🕷🍁🙂

  4. Good grief! That squash! It's huge! And that butternut?! You will have to cook that squash or freeze it because of the broken stem. Send the orange thai peppers my way, haha. Make a pepper sauce with them, Kaye. I made a hot pepper sauce with my jalapenos and it turned out very good.
I was going to guess 20 pounds for that huge squash and it almost was. Love the harvest and it is always so exciting to see what is still in the garden this late in the season.
    Love the ending!😆

  5. Hello there dear kaye. My goodness i was so pleased to jion for short while on live chat. I been at mums as i say. She definitely smiled when i showed her and told her you said hello. Even though she has this dementia i talk to mum of you all the time when i phone her all day also. Bj and sisters too. My goodness its perfectly windy herexx today. Im rather tiered 😊. You certainly have had hugge work out there on your delightful homestead 😊❤xx.mum said whow your hair is long. Its gorgeous kaye. God bless thankyou xx😊

  6. 14:33 Kaye, in our locations that do not have root cellars, we use home wine coolers. The temps go a little warmer than a standard refrigerator, and the humidity is almost perfect in them. We keep a small one for fruit and another small one for root crops. It keeps our potatoes from sprouting all winter long, then in February, we take the best seed potatoes out of the cooler and into a basket in the kitchen to sprout for potato seed in March-April. Home wine coolers are readily available of FB marketplace for very affordable prices.

  7. Keep up the good work on your homestead. I hope I can afford to pay a helper in the spring. My little gardens did great though. I was watching Canam Missing 411 this morning and one of his letters reminded me of your experience while you were driving home at night. You might want to listen to it. Take care and keep providing us the great videos. Thank you!
