Found it at work, i's been sitting on a shelf in a windowless room feels like forever. it's pretty dry and stiff and the needles are soft. the roots looked fine when j changed the soil in the pot. Google says it can be dehydrated but still alive if the body is not soft and rotten but idk it didn't change since i moved it and watered it. and the bottom is a lil brown, no softness tho. help. is it dead or it can feel better? in my house it is kept indoors, gets around 8 hrs of daylight, sits on the eastern window.

Just going down for the big slumber until a new cacti body arrives

Never worked with cacti but no harm in trying.

Paint it green and it will live forever (don’t water it)
