Cardwell Garden Centre is holding out hope of attracting the man himself to visit the Lunderston Bay attraction in the run up to Christmas.

But they know that Santa’s diary is so packed over the next couple of months with visits to shops, markets and other community events – not to mention the important jobs of wrapping presents, feeding his reindeer, and keeping track of whether children have been naughty or nice, ahead of his big world tour on Christmas Eve.

So the centre’s team have posted a vacancy for one of their most important jobs of the year – a local stand-in for the man in the big red suit.

Essential requirements for the role include a warm and enthusiastic personality, excellent attention to detail, and of course the ability to deliver an authentic ‘Ho, Ho, Ho’ laugh.

Responsibilities will include engaging with children and families during the venue’s popular Breakfast with Santa event and ensuring children have a ‘magical and memorable experience’ when visiting the Grotto.

A Disclosure Scotland check is mandatory.

The temporary role will run from November 29 until December 24, and the successful applicant must be available to work at weekends as well as on various weekdays.

Contact info@cardwellnurseries.com to apply for the role.
