[Music] Hey everyone, it’s Jess. Welcome back to my garden for my May garden tour. So today I’m going to be giving you a tour of my front yard garden beds. We have been having a lot of rain over the past couple of days, so everything is a little bit damp, but hopefully, fingers crossed, that will help the colors pop. So, I’m going to start right up here in my front yard mailbox bed. You guys did just see a couple videos back that I just did an overhaul in this bed. Didn’t change too much, but I kind of repositioned things so it makes a little bit more sense. And first off, look at my planter, y’all. Isn’t the Morgan Arbati gorgeous? I think it fits the pot perfectly, and I love that it’s not going to get too much larger. Down below it, I did pop in some clearance walana that I picked up from Lowe’s. Still haven’t yet hooked these up on bubblers just because again we’ve been having rain every day and I have not needed to water anything, but they are starting to come into bloom. As you guys can see, this is my favorite annual, y’all. These will fill in this entire pot and they will continue to bloom all the way until the end of fall for me. So, I love love love this annual. These are shade tolerant. As you guys can see, it’s the middle of the day right now. This bed does get a short little block of sun and then it’s shaded throughout the remainder of the day. So, I think that helps these blooms perform amazing. Down here, I did pop in a Cityline Paris hydrangeanger. This is a hydrangeanger that I transplanted initially from my front yard garden bed when I did my front extension last season. Just transplanted it here a couple weeks ago over from my other side of my driveway. It’s been doing great. No blooms set yet. I’m not even sure if I’m going to get any this year, which I’m totally fine with. I just wanted to put out some healthy roots and really take off in this section here. Behind my mailbox, I have a large Ailia here. This is a Rose Creek Ailia. I love how the new growth comes out, this pretty orange color, and then it fades to this gorgeous chartreuse. And then later on this summer, I will actually get pink and white blooms on this, which I’ll definitely give you guys updates. But that also ties in with my theme for this year. So, my theme for my entire front yard is all pink and white blooms. So, of course, we have the pink here. My cityline Paris also blooms pink and then I’ll have my pink and white on my Ailia. Back in the back, I have two Carissa Holl that are starting to grow together. And then mirrored over on the other side here, same exact thing. This is another cityline Paris hydrangeanger that I transplanted from the other side of my driveway. And then I repeated the same thing in this planter here as well, which everything is doing so well and everything is now on drip. So, I love how automated and lowmaintenance this bed is. Let’s move up the driveway. You guys did also just see a few videos back that I finally finished the PA extension over on this side. I still have yet to finish this section here. I still need to come in and cut this block. Y’all, it has been raining. I haven’t had a chance to get out here, but I need to cut this block and this one to finish off my curve. Then I can finally come in and finish mulching this little section. But all of this is on drip and it has filled in. This is the arbati that I transplanted a couple weeks ago. It’s doing great, you guys. I know it looks a little I’m not sure what’s going on here. I think it’s just weighed down from all of the rain, but it literally fits this space perfectly. And it looks like it’s been growing here all along. Let’s move on up to the front yard garden. I know it looks like I have a ton going on here. Look how massive my dilly is here, y’all. This is actually three dillies planted in one. So, I know every single year I say I’m going to come in and divide it. I still have yet to do that. Somebody hold me accountable this fall for me to divide this plant. Um, but this one actually blooms pink as well later on in the summer. Down here along my front border here, I have a drift of surefire white beonas. They are all starting to put on some size and come into their bloom. And I’m loving it, y’all. They have literally been loving all of the humidity and water that we’ve been receiving. For my next row, I did initially have some lemon coral sedum planted here last year that was supposed to be perennial. Fortunately, it did not come back. So, I did come in a couple weeks ago and plant up this middle section here with some clearance plants. And look y’all, I already have a bloom on one. So these do bloom a pretty shade of dark and light pink. And in the center of the bed here, I have replaced Rosie with Rosie 2.0, y’all. And she looks amazing. She’s literally the same exact statue, just with a little bit more detail. In front of her, I do have a quad of my other favorite annual. This is Super Tunia Vista Latte. Very similar to the Super Tuna Vista Bordeaux. However, this is one that has a dark chocolatey purple throat with a white bloom. And I think it’s so gorgeous. I think it’s about time for me to start feeding my annuals so they can start putting on some more size. I normally don’t fertilize anything, y’all. I literally do my one time fertilizer late winter. And that is it for the season. So, might come up and fertilize these so they can start kicking off. You guys can see in the center here, I just filled up the rest of the bed because a lot of this um I’m still trying to figure out where I want placement. So, there’s a lot of annuals in this bed. But these are actually a sunpatient. I cannot remember the name, but they have a gorgeous light pink bloom. Do y’all see how gorgeous they are? And I cannot wait till they start to put on some size. So, again, I just packed out this area until I figure out the other perennials I want to go in this bed with some annuals just to fill in. I did pop in two purple fountain grass on either side of Rosie. She does also have two flocks that will come in on either side of her. Those are called opolescence. They also bloom pink and white. Um, and then behind her, this is the only plant that is kind of throwing off my theme this year. This is some Veronica. I’ll insert the name for y’all cuz I can never remember it off the top of my head. This Veronica does bloom purple, y’all. This is the only purple I have in this bed. Um, in the center behind that, I have another trio of some perennial beards tongue, which is kind of looking a little bit rough. I’ll probably come in and give this a nice haircut so we can flush out with new blooms. But literally, I planted this the next day, you guys. I saw my first hummingbird feeding on these. And I’ve planted these initially just specifically to attract hummingbirds. So, I was so excited to see that. Not sure why this one is looking so wilted. Might need to come in and check the roots on that. Behind that, in the center, I have a tiny little hydrangeanger, which I’m so excited is put on some more size. Y’all, if you remember my first tour, it was literally just two twigs. Um, is a super dwarf variety of a pinnacle hydrangeanger. I’ll insert the name on the screen for y’all. And look, she’s pushing out a bloom for me. I’m so excited about that. Behind her, I have a trio of three callillies that I got earlier this season from Trader Joe’s. They’re looking a little bit done for the season, y’all. These bloomed super early. They were pretty orange when I planted them and then when I got them in the ground, they turned pink. So, fits perfectly. I actually love how the like fading of the foliage looks at nighttime. It really makes the plant shine. Over here in the left corner, I have a eclipse hydrangeanger. That is a dark leaf hydrangeanger. It blooms hot pink in the summer. Same thing mirrored over on this side as well. Please disregard the hanging basket in the back. I just moved it out here. so it could get some rain. But that is a fuchsia that I got on clearance from Lowe’s. I have a drift of five tiny quickfire hydrangeas that have literally doubled in size, y’all. I’m so excited about that. Even the one that I trampled earlier this season has put on some growth. So, I’m so excited about that. I also have five winter gem boxwoods in the back doing amazing. And then over here off to the side, I have two sedums here. I am not sure what’s going on with this one cuz literally these were planted the same time. They’ve always grown at the same size. But this year, for some reason, this one took off and this one is super dwarf. So, I’m thinking I’ll have to go back and watch my video when I actually trim these, but I’m thinking I may I think I divided this one. I’m not sure. But either who I think it’s kind of unique on how this one is so much bigger than the other one. These do bloom way later in the fall. So, I’ll definitely give you guys updates on that. But they do bloom pink. So, we’ve got all pink and white blooms except for my Veronica in this bed. My eonymous is doing great. It definitely needs a haircut. Down here, I have a gorgeous cute little specimen here that has put on so much growth. This is a blue shag um pine here. It’s a version of white pine. And I ordered this from Mr. Maple and it was so tiny when I planted it, y’all. has put out so many new candles, which I’m so excited about since I planted here. I have a clearance hellaore that I got from Trader Joe’s. Over here, no, I think this one was from Lowe’s, actually. Um, I need to come in and cut off the spent blooms, but it’s doing great in this space. I also have two salvia that I purchased from Home Depot. These are a variegated um bloom on them. They bloom purple and white. I just trimmed them back so that they can flush out with their second bloom. Back in the back there, I have another walana. That one is called Apple Blossom. Doing phenomenal, you guys. Down here in the base of my tree pot here. I know it’s not pink. I just could not pass up this tiara, y’all. This is tiara blue. This is a brand new patunia that released for 2025. I saw this in Home Depot and I was like, I need it. It stopped me dead in my tracks. I really wanted to get my hands on the pink variety, but I have not been able to find it, unfortunately, in my area. So, I just paired it here with a super tuna vista silver berry, and I think the combination is gorgeous. They have already started to fill out the entire base of the planter. This tree I have planted here is a lavender twist red bud, and it has put on so much new growth since I potted it up here, y’all. I am so loving the tree here. I wasn’t sure if I was going to love having a weeping tree right here in the front, but I’ve enjoying it so much, you guys. Over here in my swoop, things are starting to take off as well. My lamb’s ear is starting to finally fill in, y’all. I pruned this super hard earlier this season. I did also come in and pop in a few annuals around the base. This is a salosia. It is something twistia. I’ll try to insert the name. I cannot remember off the top of my head, but when I saw this in the garden center, I was like, that is so unique. And my camera is just not doing the colors justice. It is such a bright pop of color. And of course, y’all, still continuing my theme, all pink and white, except for these are two salvia. Um, this does look purple on camera, but it’s actually a pink blooming salvia. I think this one is called something profusion. I can’t remember. I got these on clearance 2 years ago. I did have three and it looks like only two of them survived. So, they’re just doing their thing here. And then my arborite, y’all, has put on so so much new growth. It’s really starting to get tall. I do have a nest in this tree. Not sure what type of birds they are, but they just hatched and I have little babies screaming their heads off every day. Up here on my patio, things have really started to flush out. Y’all look at my hydrangeas. They are doing so well. So, I did overwinter both of these in my garage, literally with no water, no light all winter long. I brought them out earlier this spring and they just took off, you guys. So, this one is already, as you can see, in full bloom. I have no idea what variety this is. I still have a few new buds coming that will open up to extend the bloom cycle. Um, but this one I actually got on clearance for Mother’s Day. You know how they put out the little floral small little hydrangeas for Mother’s Day? I just picked up a whole bunch of them last year on clearance and this is how it came back for me this year. Like I do have a Walleriana tucked in here that I’m thinking I’m probably going to have to relocate cuz it’s literally getting swallowed out by this hydranger here. But anyh who, down underneath this one, this one is my tuxedo hydrangeanger. This one does have a nice serrated edge with a dark color to its leaves. So so pretty. I love like the boldness of this foliage. Like it just it almost reminds me of a reptile. Um but this one does have a disc bloom and you guys can see them here. They’re just starting to open. Last year these blooms were massive and this was entirely covered in bloom. So this one again blooms pink as well. So so pretty. And then over on this side, pots are doing well as well. I have another Mother’s Day clearance hydrangeanger that I picked up that is starting to put on blooms. And then same thing, this was another clearance hydrangeanger. Y’all, I’m so impressed with how well these came back. Um, and this is another apple blossom walana as well. So, this one’s doing a little bit better just because like literally the hydrangeanger I just showed you in the other pot was smaller than this last year. So, that’s why I had the hydrangeanger planted in the back and then Walana in the front. good. Obviously, this one over here is just loving its life. And then up here, I just have a hodge podge of plants that I still have yet to get planted. Some of these I did purchase on clearance. This is a hydrangeanger summer crush um that I need to get potted up. That is going to go to replace my hyasense of here that are definitely ready to be cut back and put into the garage to over winter for the rest of the season. Over here, I have a lily that I got on clearance from Lowe’s. Y’all, this thing smells phenomenal. Like, this entire area, me just standing here, smells so, so good. And I’m so excited. I still have three more blooms that are going to open to extend this bloom season. But look at that, y’all. I see these every year. And I finally bit the bullet and bought one because they were in clearance and nothing was wrong with them. Um, down here, let move this bloom here. I have a clearance um geranium here. This one blooms pink and white as you guys can see on this bloom here. Um so I just need to get this one into a container so it can continue to thrive. I have a new Japanese maple that I purchased from Lowe’s. This is the Shaina Japanese maple or shyena. Not sure how to pronounce that, but I just love the rainbow colors that this Japanese maple provides. So I will be putting this into a container. I still have a almost a full flat of walana. I have one, two, three, six left to get planted. These are going to go in the backyard shade garden. I have two clatus that I purchased from Lowe’s clearance. One blooms pink, one blooms purple. And then this right here, you guys, I don’t think I showed y’all this. Actually, no. It was in my haul. This is a Japanese maple. It’s a blood good. I got this from Walmart. Walmart has all of their Japanese maples this size. 20 bucks, y’all. like could not pass up that deal. Like look at this 1997 bloodg good Japanese maples. So this will be going into a pot. And then down here, I forgot to show y’all. I have some lamium planted in here that is starting to come into bloom. And then these over here are some salvia. I think this is proof and winners. It is. Pull the tag here. This is rocking fuchsia, which I cannot wait to get planted. Um I bought these intending to do a hummingbird garden. So, I bought these and the beard’s tongue that I just showed y’all at the same time. It is super hot and muggy out here with this humidity, but we definitely needed it to help dry things out cuz it has been raining consistently for 3 days straight now. But anyh who, over here you guys did see I did a slight little makeover earlier this spring. Right here, I have popped in a Forever Goldie Arba. This is an arbaody that was growing in one of my mailbox containers for like the past four years. So, it was definitely overdue to come out of the containers. Since I’ve planted it here, it has done amazing, y’all. It has pushed out with some new growth, and some of the brown tints that was on it are starting to finally grow out. Um, down below it, I just popped in a few random lantana. There’s another one over there. If you guys can see that small little bloom over there. Um, just popped those in for some color. Lantana love the heat. This bed gets hot sun all day long. Um, so the Lantana will fill out this area here and that area there. This right here is a Lion King iris that I just transplanted yesterday from what used to be planted over here in my grasses. So, just put it here temporarily. It normally blooms purple and white. I’ve only got one bloom on it ever since I got this plant four years ago. So, we’ll see how it does. I kind of like just the strappy texture the le the grass provides here. Um, this right here is another hydrangeanger that I got on clearance. And I cannot remember the name of the variety of this. Oh, this is a less stance something. I’ll put it on the screen. I can’t remember y’all. Um, but I just put it here so that it can start to push out some nice roots and fill in this entire space eventually. These two salvia here I got on clearance from Lowe’s. I just pop them in the ground temporarily until these other plants start to fill in and they will eventually be transplanted to my backyard. Over here I have my gorgeous Christmas jewel holly putting on a bunch of growth, doing amazing. In the back here I have another um ewanamus that I transplanted out of a pot into the ground earlier this spring that’s doing great. These are two salvia that I just recently cut back. Their blooms were starting to flop, so just cut it back so they can rehab and flush out with a second bloom cycle. I have two barberries here on the end that definitely need a haircut. And then a variegated white eonymous in the center that also needs a haircut. Back here behind me, my grasses have taken off, you guys. They are starting to fill in this entire area and I am loving it. Later on in the season, you won’t even be able to see this box at all, which was the point of me planting them here. down below them. This is where my Lion King Iris used to be. I just popped in a cat mint here. This is a nepida called cat’s pajamas over here on this side. This was also a cat’s pajamas that I got several years ago. Um, and I put it here by accident, y’all. And look how it has taken off. It is flopped a little bit just because of the rain, but this pop of purple in between the grasses, I was just so in love. So, I went ahead and put another one on this side. Um, this right here is a dwarf kryptonia that I dug up and put into a pot that is rehabbing nicely. Still need to find a permanent home for that. And then over here we have my new tree ring planting, which I have been enjoying this so much, y’all. If you guys have been watching me over the years, you know that I really don’t care for a lot of color in my garden. I really prefer textures and foliage, but this combination, I might start adding some more color to my bed, y’all. Um, I just really don’t normally care for blooms because they’re unpredictable. I prefer to plant my beds up with nice foliage and texture. But this right here, y’all, I have been enjoying it so much. So, in the center here, I have a Jane Magnolia that I purchased from Lowe’s for $15 earlier this season, y’all. And she bloomed amazing. She has put on a ton of new growth. Like, look at this. This is where she was. All of this is new growth she has put on literally just in the past month. Um, so I will continue to limb her up as she grows. But I cannot wait to see her make a nice big canopy. These all in this bed here are perennial, y’all. So I have some denths that I transplanted from my front yard garden bed coming into bloom. And then all of these poppies here I got on clearance from Lowe’s. And these are also perennials. So I’m excited to see if these will come back for me again next year. Of course, as the tree grows, the roots will start to um interfere with the plantings here, but I’m just going to enjoy it while I can. This combination, y’all, is just so so sweet. Moving right along to my east side garden. This is what was formerly known as my shade garden. I have now converted this to just a regular garden bed because it gets a lot of sun. I have transplanted most of the shade loving plants out of this bed to the backyard. Starting with my lung wart over here. This one does amazing regardless of the amount of sun. So, I do So, I did decide to keep this one here. It has already bloomed for the season. It blooms gorgeous pink and purple blooms early spring. You guys can see it’s spent. So, I just need to come in and cut off its bloom socks. But, I love the variegation and the splotchy foliage here. It’s so pretty. I do have three distillium that I initially got from Lowe’s clearance several years ago. They have flushed out so full. I’m so happy with how full they’re looking finally, y’all. Like, it literally has taken 6 years for them to put on some size. Um, in between them, I have two Chateau de Versailles hibiscus trees that I picked up on clearance from Lowe’s last year or the year before, I can’t remember. But these do bloom a gorgeous purple hibiscus flower. In front of both of my hibiscus, I have two hearty geraniums. These are called Boom Chocolata. They do bloom purple as well later in the season. And then in the center here, this thing has just taken off, y’all. I had no clue that this was going to get this large. This is a hosta. It was just labeled plantain lily at Lowe’s several years ago when I planted it. It was tiny and it has just beefed up and done amazing here. So, I just decided to keep it. Um, I do have a drift of beonas planted along the front here, which are getting a little shrouded out by the hosta, but it’s okay. Like this one in here, you can’t even see it. But I just love how big and bold and I love that it spills over the edge. Here I have two cowillies, one there and one here that I got earlier this season from Trader Joe’s. This one has a nice dark purple bloom on it. That one blooms I think a light pink, but the foliage is definitely spent for the season. Moving right along. Oh, wait. Hold on. Down here I have an aanthus that is trying to come back. You guys, please ignore my hose. I know I need to get cleaned up over here. I should have done it before the video, but this is real life gardening with just moving right along. We have a gorgeous drift of beonas lighting the front of my bed here. I got all of these from Home Depot when they were running their spring Black Friday. I think it was a eight pack for $1.50, y’all. So, I just grabbed as much as I could fit in this bed. I have some Solomon seal doing amazing here. This is my spiral arborite. It definitely needs a haircut, but I am waiting for the babies to hatch. So, there is a nest on the back side of the tree and so I just don’t want to disturb them until they are like flown the coupe. Um, next over here I have a praying hands hosta tucked in the back. This is a trio of fire and ice hostas. This one came back for me this year. These two I just planted earlier this spring. They’re all doing amazing. In the back here, I have a gold drift spruce which has put on a ton of new growth this season, y’all. Um, it has lost a little bit of its gold color just because all of this new growth has come out. So hopefully this will color up to a nice pretty yellow later on in the season. Moving along, we have my gorgeous showstopping large call. Y’all, I rant and rave about this plant every single year and it’s put out some blooms for me for this video. I’m so excited. Love, love, love this call, you guys. I definitely plan on dividing it and moving more of it to the backyard. You guys did see I did a little bit of an overhaul in this bed earlier this spring as well. I did transplant and move these two hydrangeas here in the front. These are Invincel Sublime, I believe. Starting to get fuzzy on all of my names. I have so many plants, y’all. Um, but I do have five planted here in kind of like a zigzag W shape. In the center, I have my gorgeous coral bark Japanese maple that I purchased from Lowe’s earlier this spring for 52 bucks, you guys. I could not pass that up. Popped it here. It has been doing amazing. I love the color of its new growth. Like look at this, you guys. So, so gorgeous. I love that it has that bright coral bark color in the winter time and then during the spring I can enjoy this nice light lime chartreuse color down here in front of it. This is my first time ever trying to grow dusty miller, which y’all I’m kind of impressed at how lowmaintenance and easy this grows. The one over here I did have to replace. I lost it and just replaced it yesterday. So fingers crossed these will continue to do well. Um everything over here is also on drip. So I have not yet turned on my drip system just because of all the rain we’ve been getting. But nice to know that everything will be automated and get adequate water. I have another giant calilly planted here that is in bloom and I have several that are coming as well. Behind it, I have a Taylor’s Sunburst, and she’s doing amazing as well, y’all. I love the blue color of her needles. She has put out a ton of new candles as well, which I’m hoping will color up very, very soon. Down here, I have a hodgepodge of hellaors. I just call this section my entire hellaore bed. In the center, I have another arbory spiral. Both of my spirals are emerald green arboris. I always get that question what type of arbati they are. In the back, I have a wee hosta, which is doing amazing, y’all. I love the ruffled texture, but it looks like it’s already starting to get a little bit sunscorched, so I may have to dig that one out and move it to the backyard eventually. Over here, I have another brother Stefan hosta, which I actually thought I had dug this out when I did my um transplanting, but forgot about it. It’s come up. It’s doing great. I love how the bunnies are kind of like sitting underneath the leaves. So, so cute. And I just love the waffley texture that this hosta has. So so pretty. Behind it, I have another haore that I got on clearance. Some more random um annual beonas tucked in just to fill in space. This right here in the center is a dinard mter cyprus, which I am fingers crossed praying that this thing rebounds. It really started to brown earlier this spring cuz I waited way too long to get it in the ground. But since I’ve planted it, it has pushed out new growth. It’s doing great. So fingers crossed it continues to thrive. And then back here in the back corner, I have a fairy trail bride cascading hydrangeanger. So this one will actually continue to grow and spill over the planter. Loving how many blooms this thing has. It is doing phenomenal. I just need to find a new planter to go in this space. Let me step back and give you guys a shot of my two pots here. Stepping back, you guys did see previously in a video that I just laid down some side with the stepping stones. Everything is doing great. In my two planters here, I have two lagustramm topiary which have been struggling over the past couple of years, but it looks like they are finally starting to flush back out, which I’m so excited about. They’re also starting to set their blooms. Down below them, I have some clearance super tuna bordeaux that I planted in both planter. And I’m hoping that this will just be a sea of purple underneath the base here. All right, so now we’re back in the front of my property. I’m going to give you guys an update on my tree ring planting. So in this ring, I have two rings of beonas that I got from Home Depot. They were $1.50 for a six-pack, so I just packed out this entire bed. I also have a small inner ring of beonas as well. In between them, I have a ring of clearance denths. And I’m thinking they’re not getting enough sunlight, you guys. Um, when I bought them, they look just like this. They haven’t put on any additional growth or any new blooms. All the blooms were really mushy and brown. Um, but I’m just going to give them a shot, you guys. They were clearance. We’ll see how they do. They are supposed to be perennial. Um, but I’m thinking they probably need some more sun to perform. But anyho, I’m enjoying how it’s been doing. Still have my two hookeras on the other side. Those are Dolce silver gumdrop. Doing great. Still hoping to get my fingers on two more to finish off the inside green here. But everything has been doing great. They have been loving the water that we’ve been getting from the rain. And my tree, y’all, when I tell y’all, I have the biggest tree on the block. Like, look at this. It is huge. And in the fall time, this whole thing turns red. It’s so pretty. But look, I’m going to give you a quick shot of my street. Everybody else’s tree is not as big. Look at this. Literally, I have the biggest one. Anyh who, over here, my hedge of Manhattan are doing great. They have definitely put on a ton of growth since I planted them. They do need a haircut, but let me show y’all the little baby that was trampled a couple years ago. Oh, look at the silk worm. Let me help you. You see him? Let me help you. Come here. There you go. Let me put you in the tree. Okay. We don’t want you get a Come back. Don’t want you to get ate by a bird. Let me get you off your silk cuz I feel like you’re still pulling. There we go. Okay. Let’s get you in the tree. Let’s get you in the tree. Can you get on that leaf? Be careful. I sound like such a mom and I have no children. All right, I’mma let you got it. Have a great life. Any who, back to what I was explaining to y’all. This is the baby one that was trampled and it’s finally starting to catch up with the others, y’all. I’m going to continue to let this one grow. Keep trimming these down until they’re all the same size. My limelight hydranger tree on standard here is still doing great. I need to come in and do a makeover on the ring that’s underneath it. The weeds are killing me, you guys. I have got to come address this. So, this will probably be the next heartscaping project. Over here on the west side of my property, we have my limelight hydranger hedge doing amazing. Everything is just doing so well, y’all. Like, look how tall these have gotten. And I want to show you guys really quickly over here. This is the only hydrangeanger I have in this hedge that is not a limelight. This is an endless summer hydrangeanger that I purchased. This was, I think, the first plant I ever purchased for my garden. Um, and I’m doing a trial, y’all. I had a question from someone. Can’t remember who left the comment, but somebody wanted to know what would happen if you don’t trim the blooms back. So, I have left all of the blooms from last year just to see what happens. And as you guys can see, oh, look at the praying mantis. I must have a nest that hatched somewhere cuz this is the third one I’ve seen this week. Um, but I still have blooms coming, y’all. You see this? So, on all of the new growth, it’s pushing blooms. But it looks like on the old growth, I’m getting no blooms. So, very curious to see how this ends up blooming for the entire season. It looks kind of crazy, but it’s an experiment, y’all, and I’m loving it. Underneath my limelights, I have 18 la planted. And same thing for these. I decided not to cut these back this year, just as an experiment to see what happens and see how they do. They have flushed out with a ton of new growth. and all the old growth is just kind of looking tattered. So, I think I got my answer. I’m going to continue trimming these every single year so I don’t have to look at all the tatteredness of the new growth. But anyh who, they are all doing great. Last but not least, update on my wall build over here. The wall has been doing phenomenal, you guys. The grass has also grown in. It did get its first trimming, I think, last week, and it’s already pushed out so much more growth from the rain that we’ve received. Um, the foxtail ferns are doing great over here. I also tucked in one extra beonia from my tree ring planting, doing amazing. And then you guys saw I also transplanted my juniper ball topiary, which has been doing great. It’s also pushing new growth. And underneath it, I have some I think this is Kufia. I can’t remember. This is my first time ever growing this. I saw this in the garden center and I was just like, these blooms are so sweet. I love the purple. I love like the growth habit of these. So, I’m hoping that this will continue to fill out the base. But y’all, everything is just doing so well this season and I am loving the garden so far. So, this is going to conclude my May front yard garden tour. I hope you guys enjoyed seeing all of the things that are starting to come into bloom and flourish. If you did, be sure to give this video a big thumbs up, subscribe for more, and I will catch you in my May backyard garden tour. Peace. [Music] Down. Hey. Hey. [Music]
