I chopped this one on 9/4 and now it has 7 pups breaking through. Seems like the cactus would need to expend lots of energy to support that many new pups. I wonder if they will all grow out, what do you guys think? It’s a seed grown NOID that I acquired with its sibling earlier this past summer.

Can’t answer the original question I’m afraid but on a tangent what is the cactus behind it on the left with a large number of ribs? I grew out a bunch of supposed San Pedro seeds and one of them looks identical to that.
All mine that have done that they all grow relatively same speed and they will all grow out if they get past this stage NORMALLY
Same thing happening with this seed grown scop, although I may have peed on it a couple times after I gave it the chop..

Let it grow out and give it some extra pot space. will have more energy to put into its root system with more photosynthesizing area from multiple arms
