ID and can I save it?

Just my luck that one of my favorite air plants didn’t dry properly after the last watering. I put them upside down to dry on racks, but I don’t have a fan. I’m assuming it’s dead since its butt is all squishy. I was wondering if anybody knew what type of air plant this is? I love that it naturally grows black/purple tips but when I look up black or purple tipped air plants online I’m just getting a bunch a dye and paint jobs. If anyone can help me figure out what it is I would super appreciate it! I feel like I killed a very rare plant or something
