I got free replacement windows so wanted to use my old windows in a greenhouse. This is on the south side of the house. The idea is to encapsulate part of the porch and still figuring out what to do with the gaps and sealing it now that I ran out of glass. I got the lumber we took down milled by a local guy and he sent me the photo of cutting through a bullet precisely in half!

Looks like quite the project! Southern exposure is good but you lost me at the remark about the bullet.

Best to have someone close by if you are getting into a trench more than 3 feet deep. With equipment to haul you out if the trench collapses.

Looks fantastic. Please post a picture when it’s filled with green things!

Awesome. I would recommend using braces for the rafters instead of toenailing them in. If you get snow, this could collapse on you. Not too late to add them now, would be an easy fix. Best of luck!
