  1. It was probably the weeping spruce. it was so cute in the corner when you built the main pond. Small but mighty. Anyway.. thanks for responding. I was so excited when my question popped up!

  2. I would think if they were sooo tight that it would damage the augers? Maybe?

  3. 😅😅😅Laura " it doesn't bother me seeing roofs in the background " as she claws her nails on to her arm ! Obviously biting her tongue 👅 😜 lol 😅😅 yall are funny trying to stop the invasive neighborhood.

  4. I live in Idaho if we have a warm longer Fall the leaves don’t turn red as early. If the temperature turns cold normally the leaves turn red. Temperature is a factor as well as iron.

  5. Your every neighbors dream neighbor for you to take on taking care of the maples on down the lane that’s not even your property! I would be so happy if my neighbors would take care of the side yards that goes between us, but it usually falls on me

  6. Arron using a chain saw to cut the yellow roses 😅😅😅 talk about Mommy dearest. That's was hilarious 😂 😃 😄

  7. I live in Wisconsin, our autumn blazes are really vibrant red, and the leaves tend to drop quickly. They also tend to grow wider than the ones you have.

  8. I thought the full color of the maples had to do with how cold it’s gotten in the fall. Does it get colder in Vermont for fall? In Texas, we hardly ever have a fall with good color because it’s so mild here. Just a thought.

  9. Houses that are tall enough to see into my yard from their windows would bother me! Planting trees now, you’ll be thankful for later. Get that call into Nathan.

  10. QUESTION, Do you deal with mosquitos at all in your area? If you do, how do you not get eaten up by them? I've been watching your show from the start and Love it. ❤😊

  11. The Pecan tree question was mine! I know it doesn't have my name, but it is my comment word for word. I'm so excited to have you answered it. I have been wondering that for the longest. Not only Peacan trees, but any nut tree. I think you answered the question without answering the question….yes pecan trees can be messy because the pecans fall on the ground along with the leaves and you have to pick/rake them up. ❤❤

  12. Oh my gosh, I’m so sorry you guys had that nasty bug. That kind of bug got me down for several days before, It’s so horrible! God bless you all.

  13. Pecans are a great large tree. They do drop leaves, brittle branches, and nut shells. One of the best things is thst pecan wood is the best smoking wood for bbq!

  14. Just be aware that not everyone can get on Insta and Facebook – such as me. I had a business page for years without a personal page. When they insisted I get a personal page and I said no, they took down my business page and banned me from all instagram and Facebook. I am literally blocked from opening any page – business or personal – just because I refused to create a personal page.

  15. thank you for doing this video and my best wishes for the illness thing to go away. My daughter and granddaughter both have the flu so I cannot visit. Big Bummer. Best health to all of you.

  16. Although I selfishly am sad when you don't post, I am happy that you get a much-deserved break. I do love watching/hearing your recaps. I have you and Aaron playing whilst I work, listening in like a podcast. I've been watching for 10 years now and remember all the milestones you've hit. You've both come a long way from townhome to now. Thank you for keeping the noise out of your channel as it has become a great escape for me from what's going on outside the garden. Mahalo for all you do!

  17. Hello Laura and Aaron. I live in a rural area, and can not see any houses. Nearest neighbour is 1/4 mile away. I find it strange when I visit friends in town. It startles me when I hear people. Hope you all feel 100% soon. Love your videos. I have learned a lot from. You all.

  18. I have had the same experience with amaryllis bulbs getting smaller over the years. The outer layers get dry and peel off, not sure why 🤔. In SE Michigan we have a nursery called Bordines which is no longer guaranteeing boxwoods because of the Box tree moth problem. Hopefully it doesn’t make its way to your part of the country 🙏🏻. 😊

  19. Lindens are slow growing trees. I watched my neighbors one for many years before it started to bloom even…but boy was it worth it! The smell is so wonderful. I would sit on my deck and drink in the scent. Worth the wait!!!

  20. The wedding sounds like one described on a Reddit post where a pregnant woman didn’t want to wear all black because of the heat. She didn’t attend, even though it caused family drama. When she saw the pictures, she said it looked more like a funeral than a wedding. To each their own.
PS. I don’t have FB or IG. I’m not supporting those platforms. I just figured you took a day off like every human being should.

  21. I’m with you. Would love to block our neighbors. We are on a small suburban lot with two story homes all around us.

  22. Take as many days off as you need. You do not need to compensate and work over the weekend. We will still be here when you come back.

  23. RED FALL COLOR: quick google search said maples not turning red in fall can be due to high pH and reduced nutrient (like iron) absorption

  24. We are blessed with lots of pecan trees here in the north eastern part of Oklahoma. While beautiful, they are messy and need lots of water. LOTS OF WATER! Our largest, and most productive pecan trees and groves are in low lying areas along creeks and rivers. Boggy areas where the trees all but have their roots in the water.

  25. I put my amaryllis outdoors (Zone 9B) after they are done blooming for the holidays. They grow huge and bloom 2x/year consistently every year. I have a big section in my yard that looks great with the big strappy leaves when not in bloom. Laura, Give yourself a break so you stay healthy!
