Barakura English Garden Harvest Festival, Container Gardening Exhibition!

On October 2nd and 8th, I visited the Barakura English Garden in Tateshina Highlands, Nagano Prefecture.
In October, the garden celebrates the “Barakura Harvest Festival,” featuring a pumpkin harvest display and a container gardening exhibition.

The container gardening exhibition was held from October 1st to October 14th.
Due to rain on the first day, I visited on the 2nd.
(It’s important to visit early, as the flowers will wilt over time.)

From October 8th to 13th, the garden hosted concerts by His Majesty the King’s Military Band.

I almost passed it by!😅 I love this “21st Century Dome” and its symbolic tree, the “Golden Acacia.” I’m slowly filming the works from the “Container Gardening Exhibition.” The “Container Gardening Exhibition” was judged a while ago, and the winning works have already been decided. The works are created so that the flowers are at their peak on the day of judging, so they wilt over time. It rained yesterday, the first day of the gardening exhibition, so I came today. Apparently, the judging also considers the harmony of the works with the container.
