We are very much now into the colder weather â and living in the country comes with it some unfortunate side-effects â including the fact that field mice like to seek warmer, drier places to live over winter.
While weâve been very good at keeping our home rodent-free, some gaps that developed in the summer in our air vents to the house crawl space led to some unwelcome visitors making a home there â and one decided to choose the perfect, if smelly place, to spend its final moments, most likely after a last-supper of bait. Hereâs how we dealt with it â and how weâve sealed the hole up⊠albeit poorly, for now.
