I have 8 windows across my bedroom (it used to be a porch long ago). So of course I fill it with all the huge plants I bring in during the winter! I love it! Last year I had a huge beautiful moth hatch in the winter, but sadly I couldn’t keep it alive. The cocoon/crysalis? must have been hidden somewhere in the pot or greenery.

My parents just had all the trees in front of our house trimmed so there’s soooo much light now! I’m going to get a bunch of plants

My apartment faces east and the living room is too full of furniture (I have a roommate), so the only actual spot for mine is the bedroom. I have a few on the balcony, but it’s far too hot for most of them out there.

I would try to have a jumping spider live in that. 🕷️

My bedroom has north facing windows (in the northern hemisphere) so I only have a couple right in the window but the rest of my house is full of houseplants. I have mild winters so I don’t actually have to bring anything indoors that usually lives outside.

My thoughts are more about open spaces.
I don’t like “rooms” plants deserve to live free, everywhere. They don’t care where they are as long as they have their needs met.
They also don’t want to be moved around. They are sessile organisms, moving them causes stress, and in some species it can induce shock leading to death.

I love them. Waking up to green around you feels like instant calm.

I’m resigned to it.
