I mail ordered blephilia ciliata from a nearby nursery for a project and what I received doesn't look anything like what my other blephilia ciliata looks like (3rd picture). Notably it's missing the down of the "downy woodmint". The nursery said it's a variant without hairs and that this plant can be highly variable but I cant find info on this. I'm wondering if anyone has blephilia ciliata like the first 2 pics – hesitant to plant something in the mint family without knowing what it is. I've been sold incorrect plants by so many nurseries in the past I just want to be sure.
I'm in Virginia.
Thanks!

According to the FSUS key (https://fsus.ncbg.unc.edu/main.php?pg=show-key.php&highlighttaxonid=5272#verttarget) a defining character of this species is the canescence of the leaves (being covered in hairs so that it looks greyish. It is possible that the label is right, but it looks very atypical if so. It is hard to tell without flowers.
Did you get that plant from Woodthrush? That looks like one of their tags. If so, I’d definitely trust Ian’s opinion. He’s a pretty smart dude.
Also, the last picture looks like Blephilia hirsuta (hairy wood mint).
