What is the Harvest Reaper event in Grow a Garden?
The Harvest Reaper is a new NPC which can be found in the centre of the garden, and they have yellow flames floating atop lanterns of sorts all around them. They seem to appear every three hours, rotating in and out with the Witch and Dead Tree (that now appear together).
Each one will mention a specific crop you’ll need to find for the Reaper. Some of these are just crops on their own, whereas others require certain mutations which are listed alongside it. As you or another player in the garden hands over the required crop, the respective flame will turn blue.

In handing over the required crops, you’ll receive various rewards in return. This includes Candy Corn, which you can spend at the Spooky Market, as well various existing items, and several new and unique ones including the Severed Spine seed. The Severed Spine is very limited however – only earnable 25,000 times for each time the Reaper is in the garden – it’s possible you won’t be able to get your hands on it unless you’re quick.
Additionally, should all the requested crops be handed over causing all flames to turn blue, all players will be rewarded beyond the event’s rewards.

All Harvest Reaper rewards listed
By partaking in the Harvest Reaper event, handing over the required crops and more, you’ll be earning a selection of rewards on offer. If you’re lucky, you may even net yourself the Severed Spine, which is limited to just 25,000 owners each time the Harvest Reaper shows up.
Here are all the possible rewards you can earn from the Harvest Reaper quests:
Severed Spine (Limited to 25K each run)
Candy Corn
Spooky Chest x5 (71.43% chance)
Spooky Egg x3 (14.29% chance)
Halloween Gear Box x3 (14.29% chance)
You’ll receive Candy Corn each time you hand over any of the requested crops, with a chance at all these other rewards.

All of these rewards and this source is in addition to the rewards you can earn from the first two weeks of the updated Ghoul Garden event.
