INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Every Saturday, WISH-TV highlights a local company together with our partners at Indiana Grown. Erin Shockley with E-Love’s Garden joined Daybreak on Saturday to talk a little bit about her business.

Shockley started E-Love’s Garden in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic when farmers’ markets were still open to the public and the business has only grown from there.

E-Love’s Garden offers homegrown produce and herbs grown on 3 acres in Tipton County. Customers can also pick up small-batch baked goods, foraged plants, and garden décor — a little something for everyone!

One unique items offered at E-Love’s Garden is the luffa sponge. Shockley says she loves to teach others about luffas because they’re something people don’t know much about.

“You can use it in the shower, but you can also use it for cleaning,” Shockley explained. “We clean them and get all the seeds out and then they’re ready to sell, either as the natural sponge or I embed them into my soaps and sell them as a package.”

She also likes to attend seed swaps and pick up rare varieties of heirloom produce, especially tomatoes and hot peppers. Some of to produce ends up at local restaurants including Red Bridge Bistro in Cicero and the Love Bug Café and Sandwich Shoppe restaurants in Tipton.

Items from E-Love’s Garden are available at several locations:

E-Love’s Garden Roadside Stand, 6607 W. 100 N., Tipton
Arcadia Farmers Market, 126 W. Main St., Arcadia
Tipton County Farmers & Artisans Market (closed for the season)
