Hey everyone! My friend got me an unlabeled plant from the grocery store and we thought it was an air plant even though it came planted in soil. I left in the soil for a few weeks and then removed it after researching air plants more. When I took it out of the potting mix though it had some little roots. I know that can be normal for air plants, but it’s been out of the soil for about a month now and it honestly seemed happier in the soil. Nothing else in its environment has changed, except that when I water it now I soak it in a bath instead of watering a pot with soil in it. The leaves seem more brittle and they have these brownish purplish spots around the stem. I am watering it about every other week. Any insight as to what this guy is and how I might be able to make him happier?
