Luke, Thank-you for all you do. I'm a better gardner with the info you share. N.C..
wash your truck always rains after you do it.
As you may know, coriander (the cilantro seeds) has many culinary uses in international cuisines. It isn't just the the cilantro leaves that are eaten. You might want to think about selling them in bottles for seasoning food.
You could try using a hand vac and save the seeds that are falling on the plastic when your cutting the plants down
Nasturtiums look great. We grew them on our farm in central Indiana and they handled the drought well. Once people taste Nasturtium flowers in salad, they want more. Great crop that needs more introduction into our community salad lovers. Regarding the basil, I purchased a Dewault hand held battery power loping sheer and it really does a great job cutting through the woody stems of basil while saving my hands from fatigue, cramps, and blisters.
I've got seeds drying all over my dining room…lol. I let my cilantro seeds drop and it reblooms every year. Love saving seeds and you teaching us how is great. Thank you
Thank you for sharing ypur process. I love your channel!!!
You didn't show how you get the seeds after they dry. I was very interested to see how you winnow.
Last time I tried to grow cilantro it taste like soap. Any suggestions
I'm always amazed by the sheer number of seeds I can collect from so few flowers. I gathered about 30 garlic chive seedheads and ended up with more seeds than I can get from one packet of bought seeds. Same with zinnias, Rudbeckia, Echinacea, pepperseven dahlias (originally grown from seed).
Thx
How do I grow cilantro I cannot ever get it to survive for very long it just get tiny
@MIgardener Luke, any suggestions on saving "Super Nova Grape" Tomatoes?? I planted about 6 plants and now they are coming in like crazy…. How would you save them??
Thanks for the garlic , Luke. Just planted it!! I live on the other side of the state about 2.5 hours from you and we just had 7 days of straight rain and a total of 4 inches. Opposite of our summer. Thanks for the video
Luke I want to thank you for encouraging all of us to save seeds and teaching us how to do it. I have really started to do it for the first time this year and its made me feel so confident and self sufficient. Its amazing! I didn't expect that.
I buy my seeds from you whenever possible (sometimes Baker Creek or someone else has something you aren't carrying yet) because your prices are so good and the quality is awesome. I'm also trying garlic for the first time using your stock.
Cilantro flowers loik alot like carrots that go to seed. Have seeds from both!
